During this eight (8) hour class broken into two (2) sessions, participants will learn the critical skills required to effectively operate a handgun while wounded. This intense training course focuses on resilience and adaptability and provides students with practical techniques to maintain control and accuracy despite injuries through a combination of theoretical knowledge, hands-on drills, and realistic scenario-based exercises. Although beginner shooters are welcome, this course is intense, and participants need to be ready for a fast-paced range class.

Course Format:
This course is a blend of classroom instruction and actual range participation using a pistol.

• Trauma self-aid
• Tourniquet staging & use
• Managing penetrating chest trauma
• One-handed shooting
• One-handed pistol manipulation, including reloads and malfunction clearance.
• Actions post-engagement
• Effective use of cover/concealment
• Priorities of work

Who Should Attend:?
Whether for personal protection or for armed professionals, this course equips individuals with the skills necessary to prevail, even when conditions are at their most challenging.

Upon successful completion of the course, examination, and qualification, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from Artemis Arms LLC

Must have a Valid NYS Pistol Permit

Appropriate eye protectioN

Ear protection (electronic preferred)

Strong side holster firmly attached to your belt which covers the trigger. Holsters which require use of the trigger finger to defeat retention (i.e. Blackhawk Serpa) are not permitted

Belt mounted magazine pouch

Sturdy belt or duty belt

Tourniquet holder (if equipped, if not one will be provided)

200 rounds of range ammo

Students must wear proper clothing for a live fire exercise, which includes shirt with sleeves, pants or shorts that can have a belt attached, sturdy belt, flat shoes, boots, or sneakers that totally enclose the foot. Optional items: Jacket or baseball cap. Attire that is not allowed: sleeveless or low neck cut shirts that expose the chest or shoulder areas (no sleeveless), shirts that expose the central torso area (stomach), open toe: shoes, sneakers, or sandals/flip flops.
