NRA Women on Target is a fun place for women to get started in the shooting world. If you just received your pistol permit, or new to the shooting community, register for the class where women can be in a comfortable atmosphere and learn with their peers. To use a handgun, a NYS Valid Pistol Permit is required. Rentals of firearms are included with the class if needed (handgun or rifle) and ammunition can be purchased before class begins for the firearm selected (forty rounds minimum). If you own a firearm, we welcome you to bring it and learn during our class. We will go over the basics of shooting, safety, personal protection equipment, firearm parts, loading and unloading and more.

Course Format:
Classroom lecture and range participation.

Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course, examination, and qualification, participants will receive A Certificate from the National Rifle Association.

Who Should Attend:
• This is an introductory course that is designed to give new shooters a great foundation on how to use a firearm.

* Participant Age: 14 to 20 with proper identification, no permit necessary to shoot pistol / 21+ Must have a valid New York State Pistol Permit to shoot pistol / 14+ to shoot rifle with proper identification
