ARTEMIS SHOOTER DEVELOPMENT SERIES: PISTOL DRAW SESSION
PARTICIPANT AGE: 21+
|CLASS LEVEL: BEGINNER - MODERATE
Students will have the opportunity to learn and practice safe draw stroke and re-holstering from inside the waistband (IWB) and outside the waistband (OWB) holster. This session is intended to allow students to acquire the skills necessary to make them more comfortable and proficient for future classes involving draw. The Instructor will demonstrate different skills for the student to emulate, whether shooting from concealment of a shirt/jacket or from an outside the waistband holster not from concealment.
Course Format:
The course comprises both classroom lectures and range participation to ensure comprehensive learning and practical application.

• Basic Firearms Safety
• Safe Draw from the Holster Inside or Outside the Waistband
• Returning the Firearm to the Holster Safely
• Basic Shooting Recommendations, if necessary
This is an introduction course that is designed to give beginner and moderate shooters a great foundation on how to draw from an inside the waistband (IWB) and outside the waistband (OWB) holster.
Upon successful completion of the course, examination, and qualification, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from Artemis Arms LLC.

REQUIRED BY ALL PARTICIPANTS
Valid NYS Pistol Permit
Semi-automatic Pistol or Revolver chambered in .380, .38 Special, 9mm or .40 caliber ammunition
Leather or Kydex outside the waistband (OWB) holster with strong leather belt for attachment
Leather or Kydex inside the waistband (OWB) holster with strong leather belt for attachment
A minimum of one hundred fifty (150) rounds of ammunition, purchased in advance
Two (2) magazines with pouches attached to the belt
On-Time attendance and participation in all parts
A zip-up jacket or button down/zipper down shirt that closes in the front
Students must wear proper clothing for a live fire exercise, which includes shirt with sleeves, pants or shorts that can have a belt attached, sturdy belt, flat shoes, boots, or sneakers that totally enclose the foot. Optional items: Jacket or baseball cap. Attire that is not allowed: Sleeveless or low neck cut shirts that expose the chest or shoulder areas (no sleeveless), shirts that expose the central torso area (stomach), open toe: shoes, sneakers, or sandals/flip flops.
