ARTEMIS SHOOTER DEVELOPMENT SERIES: PISTOL SKILLS MOVING & SHOOTING

Pistol Skills - Moving and Shooting session is an advanced firearms training designed for law enforcement, security professionals, and experienced shooters who want to enhance their tactical shooting skills in dynamic environments. This session focuses on the critical techniques of engaging targets while on the move, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and speed. Participants will learn to shoot effectively from various positions, angles, and movement patterns, including forward, backward, lateral, and diagonal movements. Participants should possess a solid foundation of basic pistol manipulation skills (i.e. reloading) since all manipulation techniques will be performed while on the move.

This course is for the participant that has at least intermediate shooting skills with a semi-automatic pistol from an outside the waistband (OWB) holster
Upon successful completion of the course, examination, and qualification, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from Artemis Arms LLC.

REQUIRED BY ALL PARTICIPANTS
Valid NYS Pistol Permit
Semi-automatic Pistol with a minumum of three (3) magazines
Outside the waistband (OWB) belt mounted holster (NO SERPA style holsters are permitted)
Belt mounted magazine pouches for at least two (2) magazines
Rigid gun/tactical style outer belt at least 1 ½ inches wide
Minimum of two hundred and fifty (250) rounds of ammunition for semi-automatic pistol (NO: steel case, steel core, green tip, aluminum or frangible ammunition is allowed). Ammunition is available for purchase prior to the start of class (pending background check)
On-Time attendance and participation in all parts
Personal protection equipment for eyes and ears (electronic preferred)
Students must wear proper clothing for a live fire exercise, which includes shirt with sleeves, pants or shorts that can have a belt attached, sturdy belt, flat shoes, boots, or sneakers that totally enclose the foot. Optional items: Jacket or baseball cap. Attire that is not allowed: Sleeveless or low neck cut shirts that expose the chest or shoulder areas (no sleeveless), shirts that expose the central torso area (stomach), open toe: shoes, sneakers, or sandals/flip flops.
