Our New York State Approved Defensive Driving Course is designed to equip drivers with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to navigate the roads safely and effectively. Whether you are a new driver, a seasoned motorist looking to enhance your safety awareness, or someone seeking to improve your driving record, this course provides essential training in defensive driving techniques. Upon completion, through the Points and Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP), you can receive a reduction of four (4) points off your license accrued within the last eighteen (18) months or reduce your auto insurance by ten (10) percent. This savings is good for three (3) years. To keep this deduction current, it is recommended to take the course six (6) months prior to the three (3) year anniversary of the expiration date of your last certificate.

Course Format:
Our Defensive Driving Course combines classroom instruction with interactive discussions and practical exercises. You will have the opportunity to apply defensive driving techniques in a controlled environment to build confidence and competence behind the wheel.

PROVIDED BY ARTEMIS

Once the course is completed and submitted, your New York Points and Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP) Certificate will be distributed to the student on a later date. Students will be notified via email or phone when the certificate is ready for pick up. Those participating for points reduction, your completion is notified to the New York State DMV within ten (10) weeks. Once the NYS DMV has the information, they will reduce up to four (4) points off your driving record accrued within the last eighteen (18) months.
