ARTEMIS SHOOTER DEVELOPMENT SERIES: PISTOL OPTICS 2

This is an intermediate to advanced course that will provide shooters with a platform utilizing your handgun with optics on a different level effectively. During the span of two days, participants will engage in a comprehensive hands-on training experience that covers the basics and the next level of essential skills and techniques required for that “next level” of proficient handgun optic usage.

Course Format:
This hands-on training course takes place over two (2) days, totaling eight (8) hours.

Who Should Attend:
Those at the next level, who are seeking to build on their foundation in using pistol mounted optics, who will leave the course with the confidence and knowledge needed for efficient use.

• Appropriate stances
• Safely draw from the holster with speed
• Applying the grip with speed
• Quickly placing the dot on target
• Trigger control with the highest hit percentages possible
• Reloading, stoppage clearing, multiple shooting positions

Safety Notice: Participants are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols throughout the training. Failure to comply with safety requirements may result in removal from the course.

REQUIRED BY ALL PARTICIPANTS

VALID NYS pistol permit

Full or compact size center fire semi-automatic pistol (revolvers and SUb Compact SEMI-Automatic firearms are not permitted)

3 or more magazines

At Least 2 Magazine holders

Dominant side outside-the-waistband holster

Long pants, sturdy belt, closed toe shoes

300 hundred rounds of ammunition, full metal jacket (FMJ) or hollow point only. No steel case or steel core ammunition is allowed. (Ammo is available for purchase day of class)

Students must wear proper clothing for a live fire exercise, which includes shirt with sleeves, pants or shorts that can have a belt attached, sturdy belt, flat shoes, boots, or sneakers that totally enclose the foot. Optional items: Jacket or baseball cap. Attire that is not allowed: sleeveless or low neck cut shirts that expose the chest or shoulder areas (no sleeveless), shirts that expose the central torso area (stomach), open toe: shoes, sneakers, or sandals/flip flops.
