This NRA Refuse to Be a Victim class is a comprehensive personal safety seminar designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and strategies necessary to enhance their personal safety and security. Through education and awareness, the program aims to help participants recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations in various aspects of their lives, including home security, personal security, travel safety, and cyber safety.
This class will cover a wide range of topics, including:
• Home Security: Strategies for securing your home against potential intruders, including tips for reinforcing doors and windows, installing security systems, and creating a safe environment for your family.
• Personal Security: Techniques for staying safe in public spaces, such as parking lots, shopping centers, and public transportation. This includes awareness training, de-escalation tactics, and self-defense strategies.
• Travel Safety: Guidance for staying safe while traveling, whether domestically or internationally. This includes tips for hotel safety, airport security, and navigating unfamiliar environments.
• Cyber Safety/Technological Security: Information on protecting yourself from online threats, such as identity theft, cyberbullying, and phishing scams. Participants learn about safe internet practices and how to safeguard their personal information online.
