The Artemis Arms LLC New Jersey Concealed Carry Pistol Course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to start the process for obtaining a non-resident concealed carry license in the state of New Jersey. The course curriculum, which was reviewed by the New Jersey State Police, covers all topics needed for the student to be well educated in the laws of our neighboring state.

Course Format: This course is a blend of classroom instruction and a practical qualification course, which each participant must pass with a score of 80% or above. Each class is taught by an experienced and certified National Rifle Association Instructor, qualified to administer the classroom and range segments presented to the students.

• Private Citizens responsibilities to protect the public while carrying a firearm
• Open carry policies for permit holders and when to disclose carrying a firearm
• Force options when encountered and details of using self defense
• Duty to retreat in the state of New Jersey
• Defense of others and property
• The use of force to prevent the commission of a crime
• Magazine and ammunition options
• Requirements to purchase a firearm, how many and prerequisites necessary
• Revocation of a permit
• Familiarization of the application process and carry requirements
• Prohibited locations where you cannot carry a firearm in New Jersey
• Safe handling of a firearm, loading and unloading, marksmanship, and the qualification required by the state of New Jersey

Who Should Attend:
• Out-of-state (NJ) residents interested in applying for a New Jersey State Concealed Carry Pistol Permit

Upon successful completion of the course, examination, and qualification, participants will receive the following:
• Certificate of Completion from Artemis Arms LLC
• A photocopy of the teacher’s current National Rifle Association Pistol Instructor Certificate
• A completed “NEW JERSEY PERMIT TO CARRY SAFE HANDLING AND PROFICIENCY IN THE USE OF HANDGUNS CERTIFICATION,” completed by the instructor
